Adult Psychoanalytic Program
Application Procedure

The training program is intensive and rigorous and calls upon those entering to make a firm commitment for the full length of the program.

Applicants are asked to submit, in addition to their completed application form, transcripts from all previous undergraduate and graduate institutions attended and three letters of recommendation. At least one of these letters must be submitted by a current supervisor or employer. A personal statement is also required. When all application materials have been received, at least two interviews with members of the Admissions Committee will be scheduled.

Applicants who are accepted must also submit the name of their therapist and his/her professional background for approval as a training therapist. The criteria for such approval are described in the Program Requirements section "Personal Psychoanalysis". Candidates whose therapists have not been formally approved are not permitted to begin attending classes.

A non refundable $50 application fee must accompany the application form. Upon acceptance to the program, a $150 non refundable tuition deposit will secure the applicant's position in the entering class.

Application Deadline

Applications are to be submitted no later than April 15 for the following September. Although exceptions might be made in the case of highly promising applicants, it is decidedly to the applicant's advantage to submit his/her application before the April 15 deadline.
