The Child and Adolescent Training Program
There Are Four Sequences of Classes

  • Theories of Working with Children and Adolescents (individual classes in history and theory of child and adolescent psychoanalysis; object relations; self psychology; relational psychoanalysis; and an integrative seminar);


  • Developmental Psychology (individual classes in parenthood and family structure; infancy; toddlerhood; the Oedipal child; latency and preadolescence; and adolescence);


  • Techniques of Working with Children and Adolescents (individual classes in assessment and engagement, beginning treatment, transference/countertransference, symbolic processes, the "difficult" child, and the "difficult" adolescent);

  • Friday Series. A series of case conferences and presentations by outstanding professionals in the field.
