Supervision

One individual supervisory hour will be required each week for a minimum of 40 sessions per year. Candidates may extend supervision to 50 sessions per supervisor or add an additional supervisor for one year, in order to achieve the total number of 200 required supervisory hours over the four years. Candidates are encouraged to work with different supervisors each year and a minimum of three different supervisors during the program is required.

Personal Psychoanalysis

A personal psychoanalysis is required of all candidates while enrolled in the training program. A minimum of 300 hours of personal analysis is required during the four year training period. The analysis must be conducted a minimum of three times a week. The candidate's training analyst must have graduated from a postgraduate analytic training program or the equivalent and be approved by the Core Faculty of the Institute.

Training Expenses

A registration fee of $125 will be required for each semester the candidate is enrolled. Tuition for courses is currently $725, but varies partially according to the size of the class. Supervisory fees are $120 per session. Candidates arrange for and pay the cost of their personal psychoanalysis.
