The Recovery Treatment Center
Our Approach - Coordinated Psychotherapeutic Interventions

The psychodynamic treatment of substance abuse has proven to be helpful in facilitating initiation and securing of abstinence in individuals who are motivated to uncover the origins and meaning of their reliance on substances. By addressing the underlying functions of addiction and through integrating more adaptive strategies, the person begins to establish a lifestyle free of maladaptive dependency. Our approach revolves around a belief in individualizing treatment plans which draw on a full-range of psychotherapeutic and counseling modalities. Our clinicians are trained in the psychodynamic treatment of substance abuse and in coordinating psychotherapeutic interventions with the support patients derive from attending 12-Step and other self-help programs. The program provides specialized individual and group treatment needed by adult men and women who are motivated to initiate recovery from substance abuse. Our services also address the needs of the individual who has already established recovery as well as the special needs of the person who presents a tendency to relapse.

The overall goal of our services is to facilitate achievement of secure abstinence.
